Following the huge success of the 1st IFRC 2017, 2nd IFRC 2019, and 3rd IFRC 2024, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through the Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM), as the country’s forerunner institution in food and agriculture, is once again taking the initiative to organise the 4th IFRC 2026.
To provide opportunities for meetings and the sharing of experiences among scientists, researchers, academics, entrepreneurs, industry experts, policymakers, government agencies, local and international non-governmental organisations (NGOs), as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of food. Selected papers are invited to submit full manuscript to International Food Research Journal (IFRJ) and International Food Insight Journal (IFIJ).
All scientists, researchers, academics, entrepreneurs, industrial players, policy makers, government agencies, local, regional, and international non-governmental organisations, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of food.
Registration fees for 4th IFRC 2026:
USD 400 / MYR1,600 (normal rate) and USD350/MYR1,400 (early bird).
Abstract Submission Deadline: 31 January 2026
Abstract Acceptance Notification: 28 February 2026
Early Bird Deadline: 31 March 2026
Camera-Ready Paper/ Author Registration Deadline: 31 May 2026
Payment for inclusion in the Book of Abstracts: 30 June 2026
Note: For 4th IFRC 2026, only a Book of Abstracts will be published; no full papers. Selected papers will be invited to publish in IFRJ or IFIJ (subjected to article processing fees).

Three concurrent Pre-conference Workshops will be conducted on Tuesday, 6th August 2024, a day before the 3rd IFRC 2024. Each workshop is five hours from 0800 to 1300. To keep you fuelled and focused, we will provide morning tea and lunch. Seats are strictly limited and available on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
